PLANT: Tomato-Golden Queen (Heirloom)
$4.00Also known as ‘Jubilee’, this tomato was introduced in the early 1880’s. It bears yellow fruits which are low in acid compared to red tomatoes. Fruits have a very mild, pleasing flavour.

PLANT: Hot Pepper-Orange Habanero
$4.00Not for the faint of heart! These little fire bombs rank 100,000 to 350,00 SHU’s on the scoville heat scale. Habanero peppers start out lime green, then ripen to fiery orange, then to red. They require lots of heat, and take a little longer to mature than most other peppers at 90-100 days from transplant. Plant in full sun, in well drained, fertile soil. Do not plant with brassicas, beans, or fennel. (3-1/2 in pot)

PLANT: Sweet Pepper-Golden Calwonder
$4.00Vigourous 18-24in plants produce plenty of large, blocky golden sweet peppers. These start out green, then change to a deep yellow. Peppers like plenty of heat and fertility, so plant them in full sun and feed them well. You can also grow them in a 5-gallon container. To avoid calcium deficiency, even watering is key. PLANT: Tomato- Tiny Tim (Heirloom)
This is the best heirloom tomato we know of for growing in pots! The plants only grow up to about 1-2 ft tall (hence ‘tiny’), and are just loaded with bright red mini cherry tomatoes about 1in in diameter. They also ripen earlier than most other heirloom varieties at around 55 days from transplanting. No trellising/ staking required- although they can still benefit from cages. Expect alot of the fruit to ripen at the same time.

PLANT: Tomato-Bush Beefsteak
If you want sandwich sized tomatoes, but don’t want to bother trellising, then this is the one for you! These determinate plants (read bushy rather than viney) will produce nice round red beefsteak tomatoes. .. .And you can cage them if you want to, but they’ll do just fine without too! Grow in full sun, in fertile, well drained soil.

$4.00Another one of our favourites! This heirloom produces plenty of deep purple fruit which are resistant to cracking. The tomatoes are about 1/2 oz, and have an incredible sweet, complex flavour.
It’s got an indeterminate growing habit, so you’ll need to trellis/stake or cage it. Expect ripe tomatoes around 65 days after transplanting. Instead of having 1 short harvest window, they produce over several months- as long as the plant is healthy.
